Trilliny is a short, lithe female gnome whose fiery red hair and green eyes contrast with her dark leather catsuit, goggles, and the mechanical Contraption she wears like a backpack. Several grease stains cover her face & clothing. Her steel staff and finely-tuned hand crossbow are her most prominent tools, but she also carries several dozen others for everything from disarming traps to construct repair, as well as numerous mechanical helpers who usually hide in her pockets or the recesses of the Contraption.
Trilliny speaks with a blunt low nasal tone, mixing the vocabulary of an academic and the accent of an underbelly dweller. She’s normally deadpan and not prone to emotion unless around friends.
Trilliny is obsessed with researching constructs & spirits, and mentioned a history of dealing with spirits, lycanthropes, and other “troublemakers” through bolts to the face. She also wants to tinker on warforged and silwests, especially Silwest. Her interest switches between fascination, suspicion, and intense research with alarming speed. The only field she seems hesitant to study is interaction with the Far Realm or Dal Quor.
She cares for numerous small constructs; many of them have no apparent purpose other than “act like bird” or “bake pies”. One group, the Miniforged, travels in her Contraption and often aids her in battle.
She is suspicious towards strangers and overprotective of those she adopts as friends. Trilliny’s experiences with the group have let her move past her previous paranoia and hatred, releasing a large burden on her soul.
She has grown close to the party and to the Kiris clan, looking to aid them however possible. She is in a romantic relationship with Mir, her former rival on the team, and Suen, a kitsune spirit she once distrusted. The party has acknowledged her as their planner, relying on her to keep them prepared and safe. She forges ahead, refusing to give in to self-doubt and let them down.
Trilliny is driven by the death of her sister Alessa years ago to quori nightmare possession and her failure to protect her. Trilliny ended up killing Alessa in self-defense; she is still hunted for her murder. She developed a hatred of undead, demons, quori, and anything else that could control or twist people as a result.
Since ensnaring her sister’s killer and getting to know the friendly spirits with the party, Trilliny’s mood has noticeably brightened.
With the banishment of the Sleeper, Trilliny not only made the world safer, but reclaimed her own life. She has turned from her dark, self-destructive path of revenge and dedicated herself to forming alliances and spreading wisdom. In the years following the Sleeper’s defeat, she played an instrumental role in driving corruption from the Silver Flame, making peace between the Silver Flame and the clean lycanthropes, and setting the Turn towards a Golden Age into motion, in addition to providing advice on a number of other heroic pursuits.
Once the Turning had begun, she settled down in Syrkarn to found Flamewolf Academy, where new generations of Flamites, kalashtar, and druidic followers learned how to work together to combat their common foes. She also took her longtime friend Mugetsu as a mate, raising several children with him.
She died peacefully a few centuries later, surrounded by family and students. Some say her spirit still watches over Flamewolf Academy. Wilder rumors state she now roams the world as a silver fox, aiding those who struggle against evil.
